Luminox Military Watches
Luminox wristwatches are the result of more than 25 years of research and development in the field of high technology lighting components. All watches undergo an additional production procedure which no other watch world-wide can match. A non current-dependent lighting system is manually built into each watch. This lighting system enables the time to be read in complete darkness as well as at dusk or nightfall. This cost-intensive and time-consuming work is the secret which makes Luminox wristwatches special and different from all other watches the world over. The superiority of this lighting system saw Luminox develop a diver's watch, together with the US Army for the US NAVY SEALS, which was in a position to meet the great demands of such a special unit. The results of this collaboration have produced the US Navy Seal Dive Watch Series. Since 1991 - Desert Storm - the US Army has ordered more than 500,000 Luminox wristwatches. New watches for the special units of the US Marines are currently under development.
